Our Leadership

Dear Colleagues,

I have been appointed as the 4th MD of this prestigious NK India from the 1st day of July 2021, as the successor of three gentlemen, namely (i) the late Mr. Y. Mori, (ii) “the Climber” Mr. M. Nomura and (iii) Mr. S. Tsuboi. Although my mobilization to Delhi was a bit delayed than I expected due to the global pandemic, I am delighted to be on board as the new Managing Director of NK India. It is indeed my great honor and pleasure to have the opportunities to work with you all in this red-hot country from now onward.

I was landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport on August 16, 2021 for the first time in four years. I can easily recall my memory when I first landed on the territory of India in August 2008. At that time, the place where I headed

My purpose of visit was to participate in the Contract negotiation meeting of the Hogenakkal Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project in the state of Tamil Nadu. Since then, not a few visits were made to Delhi and other places in India. As some of you are well aware, in those days, NK India Delhi Office was located at the International Trade Tower where elevators were always rattling on.

Besides, my background does not cover engineering field, but I graduated from Law Faculty. As a fresh graduate, I joined NK in 1985. In my 37-year professional career with NK, I’ve devoted some 30 years to marketing / business development activities. Of which 10 years in total I resided in Jakarta and in Hanoi (5 years respectively) as Resident Marketing Manager and Chief Representative. Thus, Delhi / India is my 3rd city / country to assume resident mission.

Mr. Hirotoshi Suzuki, Director moved back to Tokyo, from 1st day of August 2021 and Mr. Satoshi Eguchi, has taken over as Director Technical and Projects. I welcome aboard and wish him all the luck for the successful period in NK India.

Some fundamental changes have already been done to strengthen the Top Management to achieve the company's long-term vision. We have laid down our Mid-Term Plan and Long-Term Strategy keeping in view of NK India's motto of “Make things happen and Get things done”. I expect better marketing capabilities and business efficiency will result in more business/new orders.

I would like to thank all NK India Staff for their continued efforts during this difficult time. As Covid cases are decreasing gradually and the second wave of Covid-19 infection is weakening, we expect more steps would be required, especially by the site engineers, to achieve the desired target/deadlines of the project sites. Since the Government of India has already started the vaccination drive and opened the vaccines for the person aging 18 or more, I expect all of you to have already been vaccinated to keep yourself and your family members safe.

I wish for the good health and well-being of the family members.
